Tower Bridge

London's bascule landmark

Tower Bridge is a landmark bridge spanning the River Thames in London, notable for its twin Gothic towers and central bascule section that opens to allow tall ships to pass.

Built in the late Victorian era, it stands near the Tower of London from which it takes its name.

Often confused with London Bridge, which is a different, plainer structure nearby.
