Brixton

South London neighborhood

Brixton is a district in south London, historically a center of Afro-Caribbean culture and community in Britain.

The area became synonymous with racial tensions after the 1981 Brixton riots, sparked by police treatment of Black residents.

Today Brixton is known for its vibrant market, music scene, and ongoing gentrification: Brixton has changed a lot since the nineties.
