The Tempest

Island sorcerer drama

The Tempest is a play by William Shakespeare, generally considered his final solo work, written around 1610-1611.

Set on a remote island, it follows the sorcerer Prospero as he uses magic and a storm to bring his enemies within his power, ultimately choosing forgiveness over revenge.

The play blends comedy, romance, and philosophical reflection on art, colonialism, and human nature.
