conjuring
Pulling rabbits out
Conjuring is the performance of magic tricks—sleight of hand, illusions, making things appear or disappear.
A conjurer pulls rabbits from hats and coins from behind ears.
The word extends to any act of summoning or producing as if by magic: conjuring spirits, conjuring memories of childhood.
To conjure up is to evoke or bring vividly to mind: The smell conjured up my grandmother's kitchen.
