Twelve Angry Men

Deliberation room tension

Twelve Angry Men is a 1954 courtroom drama by Reginald Rose, originally a television play, later adapted as a celebrated 1957 film.

Twelve jurors deliberate a murder case; one holdout's insistence on reasonable doubt gradually sways the others.

The title has become shorthand for the jury system itself and the weight of unanimous verdict: It was like Twelve Angry Men in that deliberation room.
