Medea
Colchian king's daughter
Medea is a figure from Greek mythology—a sorceress and princess of Colchis who helped Jason obtain the Golden Fleece, then married him.
When Jason later abandoned her for another woman, Medea murdered their children in revenge.
The name evokes feminine rage, betrayal, and vengeance: She had a Medea-like fury when she discovered the affair.
