St. Helena

Remote Atlantic island

St.

Helena is a remote volcanic island in the South Atlantic Ocean, a British Overseas Territory.

It is best known as the place of Napoleon Bonaparte's exile and death—the British imprisoned him there from 1815 until his death in 1821.

The island remains one of the most isolated inhabited places on Earth.
