throne room

Monarch's reception chamber

A throne room is the formal chamber in a palace or castle where a monarch sits enthroned to receive visitors, hold audiences, and conduct state ceremonies.

The term sometimes appears as a joking euphemism for bathroom: I'll be in the throne room.
