Seder

Passover ritual meal

A Seder is the ritual meal held on the first night or two nights of Passover, following a prescribed order of prayers, symbolic foods, readings, and songs commemorating the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt.

Families gather around the Seder table with items like matzah, bitter herbs, and the Seder plate: Are you coming to our Seder this year? (Also spelled lowercase as seder.)
