Easter Vigil
Holy Saturday service
The Easter Vigil is the Christian liturgical service held on Holy Saturday night, marking the transition from Lent to Easter.
Considered the most important service of the church year in Catholic and Orthodox traditions, it begins after sunset and includes the lighting of the paschal candle, scripture readings tracing salvation history, and often baptisms.
We attended the Easter Vigil at midnight.
