Science
Knowledge through method
Science is the systematic study of the natural world through observation and experiment.
The sciences—physics, chemistry, biology, and their offshoots—seek to explain how things work through testable hypotheses.
More broadly, science can mean any organized body of knowledge: political science, library science.
To have something down to a science is to have perfected a method through practice.
The adjective scientific describes rigorous, evidence-based approaches: a scientific approach to the problem.
