Samoans
South Pacific people
Samoans are the indigenous Polynesian people of the Samoan Islands in the South Pacific, or citizens of Samoa (formerly Western Samoa).
The term also describes anyone of Samoan descent: Samoans have a strong presence in American football.
Samoan culture centers on *fa'a Samoa*—the Samoan way—emphasizing family, respect, and communal values.
