Africans
Saharan and sub-Saharan
Africans are people from Africa, the world's second-largest continent, or those of African descent.
The term encompasses enormous diversity—over fifty countries and thousands of ethnic groups, languages, and cultures.
Many Africans speak multiple languages from childhood.
In diaspora contexts, Africans often refers specifically to recent immigrants from the continent, distinguishing them from African Americans or Afro-Caribbeans whose ancestors arrived generations earlier.
