Tahitians

South Pacific islanders

Tahitians are the indigenous Polynesian people of Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia, or more broadly, anyone from Tahiti.

The term also refers to the Tahitian language, a Polynesian tongue related to Hawaiian and Maori: She learned to speak Tahitian from her grandmother.

As an adjective, Tahitian describes things originating from or relating to the island: Tahitian vanilla, Tahitian dance.
