Europeans

Across the Atlantic

Europeans are people from Europe, the continent comprising the western portion of the Eurasian landmass.

The term covers diverse nationalities, languages, and cultures unified mainly by geography: Europeans have traveled freely across borders since the Schengen Agreement.

In American usage, European often carries connotations of sophistication or old-world sensibility: She has such European taste in fashion.
