Samaritans
Ancient Samaria's people
Samaritans are members of an ancient religious and ethnic community centered in the region between Judea and Galilee.
They maintain their own version of the Torah and worship on Mount Gerizim rather than in Jerusalem.
A small community of Samaritans still exists in Israel and the West Bank.
In the UK, the Samaritans is a charity providing emotional support to people in crisis. (Lowercase samaritans means helpful strangers.)
