Armenians
Mount Ararat's people
Armenians are people from Armenia, a landlocked country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia, or those of Armenian descent.
The Armenian diaspora is widespread, with significant communities in Russia, the United States, France, and throughout the Middle East, largely resulting from the 1915 genocide under Ottoman rule.
Armenians have their own distinct language and alphabet, and most belong to the Armenian Apostolic Church, one of the oldest Christian denominations.
Many Armenians in Los Angeles maintain strong ties to their ancestral culture.
