STRING
Guitar's vibrating line
String is a thin cord made of twisted fibers, used for tying, binding, or hanging things.
The word extends to anything arranged in a line: a string of pearls, a string of islands, a string of bad luck.
Musical strings are the taut cords on instruments like guitars and violins; the strings refers to the string section of an orchestra.
To string something is to thread it or stretch it out: string lights on a tree, string someone along (lead them on with false hope).
In computing, a string is a sequence of characters treated as a single unit.
No strings attached means without conditions or obligations.
