Int is programmer shorthand for integer—a whole number without a decimal point.
In most programming languages, int declares a variable that holds such numbers: int count = 0.
The term appears in technical discussions and error messages.
Outside computing, int is rare, occasionally appearing as an abbreviation for interior or internal.
