SSH

Remote login protocol

SSH stands for Secure Shell, a cryptographic network protocol for secure communication over unsecured networks.

It's the standard method for remote login to servers and secure file transfer: I'll SSH into the server and check the logs.

As a verb, to SSH somewhere means to connect using this protocol: Can you SSH to the production box?
