Pamplona is a city in northern Spain, capital of the Navarre region.
It is best known internationally for the annual Running of the Bulls during the San Fermín festival in July, when participants run through the streets ahead of charging bulls.
Hemingway's *The Sun Also Rises* brought the festival to worldwide attention.
