thundering
Like a storm's voice
Thundering describes something that produces or resembles thunder—a deep, loud, rumbling sound: thundering hooves, a thundering waterfall.
As an intensifier, it adds emphatic force, often with a slightly old-fashioned flavor: a thundering success, a thundering good time.
British usage preserves thundering idiot and similar phrases where Americans might say "complete" or "total."
