Northern Canada
Land of permafrost
Northern Canada refers to the vast, sparsely populated regions above the 60th parallel, comprising the territories of Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
The term evokes Arctic and subarctic landscapes—tundra, permafrost, and long winters with extended darkness or midnight sun.
It's home to significant Indigenous populations, including Inuit, Dene, and other First Nations.
She spent two years teaching in Northern Canada.
