Whitehorse
Yukon Territory seat
Whitehorse is the capital and largest city of Yukon, a territory in northwestern Canada.
Located on the Yukon River, it serves as the region's administrative and commercial center: We flew into Whitehorse and drove north from there.
The city takes its name from rapids on the river that early travelers thought resembled the manes of white horses.
