MTV

Veejay employer network

MTV, originally Music Television, launched in 1981 as a cable channel devoted to music videos and transformed how popular music was consumed and marketed.

The channel's influence on youth culture, fashion, and entertainment was enormous through the 1980s and 1990s, making phrases like I want my MTV cultural touchstones.

Over time, MTV shifted away from music programming toward reality shows and other content, making the name essentially a legacy brand.
