veejay
Video show host
A veejay is a video jockey—someone who introduces and presents music videos on television, the video equivalent of a radio DJ.
The term emerged with MTV in the 1980s when the channel featured hosts who provided commentary between clips: The veejays became celebrities in their own right.
Also spelled VJ.
