cable TV
Subscription home programming
Cable TV is television programming delivered through coaxial or fiber-optic cables rather than broadcast signals or satellite.
The technology emerged as a way to bring television to areas with poor reception, then expanded to offer dozens or hundreds of channels for a monthly subscription fee.
We cut the cord and canceled our cable TV.
Also called cable television or simply cable.
