60 Minutes is an American television newsmagazine that has aired on CBS since 1968, making it one of the longest-running programs in broadcast history.
Known for investigative journalism and celebrity interviews, its format—introduced by the ticking stopwatch—established the template for TV newsmagazines: The senator dreaded his 60 Minutes interview.
