Kuwait
Iraq's southern neighbor
Kuwait is a small, oil-rich country on the Persian Gulf, bordered by Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Its 1990 invasion by Iraq triggered the Gulf War.
The term often appears in discussions of Middle Eastern geopolitics and petroleum: Kuwait's oil reserves remain among the world's largest.
A Kuwaiti is a person from Kuwait.
