pearl diving
Underwater treasure hunting
Pearl diving is the practice of diving underwater to harvest oysters or other mollusks that may contain pearls.
Historically a dangerous occupation requiring breath-holding descents, it has largely been replaced by pearl farming.
The term also serves as vulgar slang for performing oral sex on a woman, the "pearl" being the clitoris.
