Krakow

Vistula River metropolis

Krakow is Poland's second-largest city and former royal capital, located in the south near the Vistula River.

It served as Poland's political and cultural center for centuries before Warsaw.

The historic old town and Wawel Castle draw tourists, as does the nearby Auschwitz concentration camp memorial.

Also spelled Kraków.
