Cracow

Vistula River city

Cracow is the English name for Kraków, Poland's second-largest city and former royal capital.

The spelling reflects older transliteration conventions; Kraków now predominates in formal contexts, but Cracow persists in historical references and English place names: the University of Cracow, Cracow sausage.
