mead
Fermented honey drink
Mead is an alcoholic drink made by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with added fruits, spices, or grains.
It predates both beer and wine, making it one of humanity's oldest fermented beverages.
Mead ranges from dry to very sweet and appears in Norse mythology as the drink of gods and warriors: They raised horns of mead in the great hall.
