Albert Schweitzer

Albert Schweitzer was a German-French theologian, philosopher, musician, and physician who devoted much of his life to medical missionary work in Africa.

He founded a hospital in Lambaréné, Gabon, in 1913 and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952.

His name evokes selfless humanitarian service: She's no Albert Schweitzer, but she volunteers when she can.
