peace prize
Conflict resolution honor
A peace prize is an award given for contributions to peace, diplomacy, or the resolution of conflict.
The most famous is the Nobel Peace Prize, awarded annually since 1901: She won the peace prize for her work in nuclear disarmament.
The term sometimes appears ironically when recipients seem undeserving or when peaceful intentions produce violent outcomes.
