morality
Standards of behavior
Morality is the system of principles governing right and wrong conduct.
It can refer to a society's shared standards Victorian morality, an individual's ethical code personal morality, or the quality of being virtuous a person of questionable morality.
The morality of an action is whether it's right or wrong: They debated the morality of capital punishment.
Morality often implies standards beyond mere legality—something can be legal but immoral, or illegal but morally justified.
