Typed written works
Typescripts are documents produced on a typewriter, as distinguished from handwritten manuscripts or printed texts.
Before word processors, authors submitted typescripts to publishers: The editor marked up the typescript with corrections.
The term persists in publishing and archival contexts.
Typescript is also a programming language that extends JavaScript with static typing.
