Commented reference compilation
An annotated bibliography is a list of sources on a topic where each entry includes a brief summary or evaluation of the work cited.
Standard bibliographies give only publication information; annotations add context about what the source contains and its usefulness: The professor required an annotated bibliography of at least fifteen scholarly articles.
