final drafts
Ready for submission
Final drafts are the last versions of written documents before submission or publication.
The term implies revision—a final draft follows earlier drafts and represents the polished, complete form: Turn in your final drafts by Friday.
In practice, "final" is often optimistic; final drafts frequently undergo further editing.
