transnationalism
Living across countries
Transnationalism describes connections, movements, and identities that cross national borders without being anchored to any single country.
Immigrants maintain transnational ties when they stay connected to their homeland while building lives abroad: Her transnationalism showed in how fluidly she moved between cultures.
The term also applies to corporations, advocacy networks, and cultural phenomena that operate across multiple nations rather than within one.
