tabbing

Jumping between fields

Tabbing is the act of pressing the tab key, usually to move between fields in a form or indent text: I was tabbing through the application when it crashed.

In browsers, tabbing can mean navigating between open tabs.

The word also applies to organizing with physical tabs: She spent the afternoon tabbing her notes for the exam.
