chords
Notes played together
Chords is the plural of chord, which has two distinct meanings.
In music, a chord is three or more notes sounded together harmoniously; to strike a chord with someone is to evoke an emotional response, as if their feelings were strings being played.
In geometry and anatomy, a chord is a straight line connecting two points on a curve—the vocal cords (often spelled chords) are membranes that vibrate to produce sound.
