obsession
Can't stop thinking
Obsession is a persistent, intrusive preoccupation with something—a thought, person, or desire that dominates the mind.
The word implies an unhealthy fixation: His obsession with her bordered on stalking.
But casual usage softens this: I have an obsession with true crime podcasts means strong enthusiasm rather than pathology.
In clinical contexts, obsessions are unwanted recurring thoughts that cause distress, often paired with compulsions.
