skipping rope
Boxer's training tool
A skipping rope is a length of rope with handles at each end, swung over the head and under the feet in a rhythmic jumping exercise.
The term is more common in British English; Americans typically say jump rope.
Children's games involve elaborate rhymes and techniques: The girls were out front with their skipping ropes.
