salsa
Chunky tomato condiment
Salsa is a spicy sauce of tomatoes, onions, and chili peppers, central to Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine.
You dip chips in salsa or spoon it over tacos.
Salsa is also a style of Latin dance music with Cuban and Puerto Rican roots, and the partner dance performed to it: We took salsa lessons.
The word is Spanish for sauce.
