Pyramidal means shaped like or relating to a pyramid—having a broad base tapering to a point.
The term appears in anatomy for structures with this shape: the pyramidal cells of the brain, the pyramidal tracts of the spinal cord.
More generally, anything with a pyramid-like form: a pyramidal roof, pyramidal organization with power concentrated at the top.
