Great Pyramid of Giza
Ancient Egyptian monument
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest of the three ancient Egyptian pyramids on the Giza plateau near Cairo, built around 2560 BCE as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu.
It stood as the world's tallest structure for nearly four millennia and remains the only surviving wonder of the ancient world.
Often called simply the Great Pyramid or the Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu's Greek name).
