piggyback
On someone's shoulders
Piggyback describes carrying someone or something on one's back or shoulders, with the carried person's legs wrapped around the carrier's waist: Give me a piggyback ride!
The word extends to anything that rides along on something else, whether physically or figuratively: a piggyback trailer rides atop another on a train, and a company might piggyback on a competitor's success.
As a verb, to piggyback means to attach or add on to something already in motion or existence.
