phlebitis
Swollen blood channel
Phlebitis is inflammation of a vein, typically in the legs.
It often occurs when a blood clot forms in the vein, causing pain, swelling, and redness along its path.
The condition ranges from superficial cases that resolve on their own to deep vein involvement requiring medical treatment: The IV site developed phlebitis after several days.
