PAD

Arterial circulation disorder

A pad is something soft and flat used for cushioning, protection, or absorption: a knee pad, a heating pad, a mattress pad, a menstrual pad.

Writing pads and notepads are stacks of paper bound at one edge.

A pad can be a fleshy cushion on an animal's paw or a human finger.

In slang, a pad is someone's living quarters: Let's go back to my pad.

The verb means to stuff with soft material, or to walk softly: She padded barefoot across the floor.

To pad something out is to add unnecessary material to increase length: The essay was padded with filler.
